Do you value yourself? What is YOUR value?

As an accountant, I can tell you that most people value things at the price they paid for something. For example, you may have paid $5,000 for a car. How much is that car now worth to you? $5,000.  Seems obvious, doesn’t it.

Few people take a moment to consider what their value may be. They may not see themselves as having any value. Why? Because they didn’t pay anything for themselves and they have no idea what has been paid for them. To some who promote that there is no God and we are just cosmic “accidents”, we are viewed as people taking up space on a planet that is already full of people. To them, we are actually a liability, because we contribute less than we consume.

Now, consider what Jesus said in John 3:16, “For God loved the world so much, that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” What did God give in order to redeem or to purchase us? $1 million? $1 billion? $1 trillion? No, He gave something so valuable that money can’t be used to measure what was given. He gave His “one and only Son”, Jesus. In God’s eyes, you have TREMENDOUS VALUE. As the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:20, “You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price.

Isn’t it time that you believed and agreed with God? You are so valuable!
